SRGZA Quesako?

The communes are obliged to reach agreement and review the management of business parks at regional level. This task has been given to the Chablais region. The draft allocation plan is currently out for public consultation.
Chablais Région is conducting a study of business parks in the Aigle district, the aim of which is to define a regional strategy for the management of these areas, provide a clearer picture of the land available thanks to an inventory of reserves and, finally, identify the needs of companies already established in the area or wishing to do so.
The Chablais region has a large number of business parks, of cantonal, regional or local importance, spread throughout its territory. While this availability is an undeniable asset for the region, making it possible to attract future businesses and jobs, the management of these zones is a major challenge for the Communes.

Main objectives

The aim is to ensure prosperous and coherent regional economic development, by providing business parks that meet the current and future needs of the economy, enabling the proportion of jobs per inhabitant to be improved and ensuring a balance between lowland and mountain areas.

To achieve this, it is necessary to :

  • Ensure that businesses have the space they need to maintain and grow their activities and related jobs, while using the land sparingly;

  • Promote a diversity of activities to ensure a balanced economic fabric, paying particular attention to maintaining a dynamic secondary sector that meets needs;

  • Ensuring favourable framework conditions for the population, in particular through the provision of local jobs and accessibility by public transport and soft mobility.

Scope of the SRGZA du Chablais vaudois

The scope of the study, established in agreement with the Communes concerned and the Canton of Vaud, includes 11 of the 15 Communes in the Aigle district, bringing together 43 business park sites. The 4 Communes of the Haut-Lac (Villeneuve, Rennaz, Roche and Noville) are leading the process with the Riviera as part of the Rivelac conurbation, whose political and technical coordination is fundamental (for more information: https: //srgza-rivelac.ch/). Similarly, coordination is ensured with Chablais Agglo, with the four communes of Aigle, Bex, Lavey-Morcles and Ollon in the canton of Vaud as stakeholders in the Chablais Agglomeration.
