The commune of Gryon is located in the Vaud Pre-Alps, at an altitude of 1,114 m, 9 km as the crow flies to the southeast of the town of Aigle.

The commune is linked by road from Bex, and by the Bex-Villars-Bretaye railroad.

Public transport

The Gryon tourist shuttle runs in summer and winter, linking Gryon and Barboleuse to the commune's various tourist attractions.
This tourist shuttle operates :
-June to the end of August
-December to Easter
It links the village of Gryon with Barboleuse and Alpe des Chaux via Frience.
The Hameau de Taveyanne is served in June.

In around 45 minutes, the train will take you from Bex to Villars, passing through Gryon and crossing some magnificent Alpine valleys.
Views of the plain, views of the Grand Muveran and passage through pretty, typical villages await you.
Arriving in Villars, you can then change trains for Bretaye.
