Saype is back in Villars-sur-Ollon with an ephemeral work that was kept secret until its creation.

This artist creates monumental frescoes all over the world, all created on grass, earth, sand or snow. He captures the fragility of our societies and the challenges we all face. They are ephemeral, with the aim of changing attitudes while respecting nature. The paint used is eco-responsible, based on chalk and charcoal.

Now's the time to check out the 2024 works, which can be seen for between 2 and 4 weeks (until around the beginning of August, depending on the weather and grass regrowth).

Access and transport:

From Bex station, you can get to Villars station using the BVB (Bex-Villars-Bretaye) or from Aigle station take bus no 144 towards the cable cars or Villars station depending on your choice for the climb up to the frescoes. From there :

Option 1: Parking du Rendez-vous (400 spaces) - Leave from the Roc-d'Orsay cable cars and walk 30 minutes to the Grand Chamossaire (+130m) to see the frescoes. You can either take the cable car back down or walk to the Col-de-Bretaye, from where you can choose to walk or take the Bretaye-Villars cog railway.

Option 2: Train from Villars to Col-de-Bretaye then Grand Chamossaire chairlift to admire the work without having to climb up on foot (approx. 6-minute chairlift ride).

Option 3: Train from Villars to the Col-de-Bretaye then a 50-minute walk to the Grand Chamossaire (+380m).

Prices :

Escapade Pass at the Day Pass rate of CHF 34 (CHF 17 half-fare) to cover all your transport needs for the day. You can buy it online, from the Roc d'Orsay cable car or at Villars station.

Magic Pass, this transport is included free of charge.
